It’s important to understand that the campsites do not have RV hookups, but there is an RV dump station and a water-filling station. Tent camping is the most popular choice at the campgrounds, but you can bring an RV if you want. There aren’t any facilities, but you will have lots of peace and quiet. You can also enjoy primitive camping at Yarborough Pass. South Beach is similar to North beach, but it has chemical toilets. After crossing the JFK Causeway onto Padre Island, Highway 358 changes into Park Road 22. Drive east through Corpus Christi, Texas on Highway 358. North Beach offers beachfront camping at its best, but it doesn’t have any facilities. Generators: Yes, do not use during quiet hours (10:00 pm-6:00 am). It’s right by a boat ramp, and campers have access to a bathhouse. If you want to enjoy birding, boating, kayaking, or fishing, pitch a tent at Bird Island Basic Campground. You’ll have access to cold-water rinse showers and flush toilets at this campground. Set your tent up on the beach or at a campsite.
